Bryan Mack First heard Maignus Youth in 2009 and I was immediately hooked by their insanely catchy blasts: like if the Minutemen had fused with the Descendents, these little nuggets are pop gems and hits in an alternate universe. Cannot wait for the studio reissues! Favorite track: Carousel.

I think about my reason In Life, in Time, In You. Why I meet certain people, I don’t have a clue. All is for a purpose I will someday find. As of right now, these questions boggle my mind. I’m so lucky to have the friends I do. Life is such a good thing, It’s meant for me and you. Whenever you are troubled, you will find all your worries will be gone in time. I try to find the good in every single day, But at times there are things that blow me away. Puts me in a spell to where I feel like shit. Always working for the better, I never will quit. Bad things happen, but there’s a reason why, Always getting stronger, ‘til the day I die. Life is what I make it, has always been. Karma has proven right, time and time again. There are two sides to everything I see. A positive and negative, there must always be. The way I want to view is up to me, I know. Whichever looks best, I will choose to go. If I choose wrong, it will soon attack, Get me in a fix, just to pay me back. If I choose right, and back it up with hope, Something good will come to me, just when I need it most. There’s one thing I’ll never know right, The price a person has to pay for taking someone’s life. When it comes to daily things, karma does prevail, But when it comes to killing, my answers always fail. Killing’s hardly good. We know it’s mostly bad. No matter what the case, death is always sad. Positive and negative exist in every night Who lives that really knows about the after life? I know about my reason I Live in Time, with You. Why I meet certain people, I now have a clue. All is for a purpose. I will someday find. Until then I’ll use the positive portion of my mind.

So this is life - full of whys and lies So this is life - gotta play the game So this is life - from failures to tries So this is life - it needs a change So this is life - some laughs more cries So this is life - the genius and the strange All in all life is just a fuckin’ disguise Do what your told and don’t complain Go your own way and be listed insane So easily we celebrate, mean while the soldier dies So this is life - never known the truth So this is life - full of fuckin’ lies So this is life - the aged not youth So this is life - makes me wanna die So this is life - I don’t know why So this is life - we have to cry

Power Trip 01:24
You can’t tell me what to do Nothing that you say is true. Your whole mind is in a can Of mental cruelty an demands. It is so hard to see why you’re such a dick to me. Can’t you just let me live, peace is all I want to give. Power Trip, It has grown Can’t you quit? Just leave me alone. Ruined lives on your belt. No disguise on how you felt. Slamming things, scarring minds. Can’t you see you’re left behind Your sick, sick mind, Cannot find. You are such a wise old fool With your stupid tarnished rules. Almost always talking shit Such a fucking hypocrite. You are wrong, so very wrong. I have known it all along. Always coming down on me, Trying to find a masterpiece. You’re an alcoholic. You can’t admit it. Can’t come to terms that you’re addicted! Taking out your pain on me and my family. Such a blind prick who will never see. Taught me to speak my mind. And I do every time. Now-a-days when I do all I get is shit from you.
5.
Sooner or later we will die. Will I go up or fall to fry? Where’s my soul on burial day? Will it remain in my grave? I question life, when did it begin? Is life one or does it not end? At times I see life as a test, To determine the level where you’ll rest. In life anew, what is my form? Am I a human or a creature that’s scorned? Will the world be of peace Or will I return, To a violent red storm? So the question of life’s destiny, forever remains In this song.

Charlie 01:39
Charlie! Who are you? Where did you arise? Are you twisted? Oh dear Charlie what's wrong? You're a mastermind, organized your life You love nature and the free life. What a guy. Dear Mr. Manson you're a hero to your kind You really got 'em going Dear Mr. Manson you're such a fuckin' sweety killing those you pity Oh dear Charlie you know the best don't you, Fuck the rest, kill them If this was your world who would be spared? “Are you the devil?" they say Your eyes could shatter a mirror "with that swastika on your head!" Have you ever felt the fear "Half crazy" they say I'd like to meet you face-to-face "Not insane in any way" For your opinion on the human race They've got you locked up now You won't quit, kill again. Many left behind sobbing and screaming If you thought you'd win You were just dreaming. Oh dear Charlie can't you see We’re overpopulated, Please, don't kill me.
7.
We all have a lot to live for. Who may know what tomorrow brings? It could be tears, joys or fears. Who could say for sure? I can see what's wrong with everybody, They are never satisfied with what They have until late at night when all is gone and everybody wonders why they don't have anything. Then they realize how much they take the little things for granted. It is then, they see.
8.
Memories - we share. Through the years - we bared, All the good times - raced by, All he bad times lagged on. So concerned with years past, A waste of time I find. Life's too short to be wasted Trying to relive yesterday's laughs. See the fire dying. All the stars are falling. All will be washed out but Why can't hopes of yesterday Be reborn for tomorrow? Childhood dreams weren't long ago, Far yet very near to us Far as our thoughts could be from us. Near as the stars have fallen to us. Good times - are everyday. They occur in many ways Can't see them 'til tomorrow. Then, they're just good old days. Memories of years past. Mysteries of those to come. Time tells all so slowly Wish it weren't so fucking fast.
9.
Push Pull 01:23
Push - Tell me what to do. Pull - Say to follow you Push - Say it's not right. Pull - Nothing is enough Push - Everywhere's the same. Pull - The city is so lame Can't escape It's no use Nothing to do 'cept get in the groove. Push - Poison my mind. Pull - Follow every rule. Push - 'Til I kill you. Pull - 'Til I kill myself. Addicted to money, what a deadly addiction. Say they're greedy, but who listens?
10.
No Escape 01:53
Double our knowledge faster all the time. "You," a sound with meaning we hear. A child cries about what's wrong. Are we aware within our world? Is our tribe committing suicide? Hell, from that place there is no escape. Made for us are all of our problems. By, we stand when death must be faced. MAN {13,1,n}- a strange word.
11.
Where does all of the life go when the world completely dies? Lives once full of truth as well as full of lies. Within each person lies a mystery as well as a living energy. Within that child lies a loving, caring soul. What will he be in time full of truth or full of lies Where does his life go when his worldly body dies? Where does all the life go? Walk with me through time.
12.
Born into insanity. All is crazy without choice. All of the feelings down in me Are crying loudly without voice. Everything reflects on me. I'm putting mirrors on myself. That is why I'm insane, Without choice like everyone else. We are all insane and we have no choice to be. No one is to blame but the founders of society Who will ever know what the true life ought to be? We are all just hopelessly insane. What happened to morality? Man lost it in the dawn. What happened to mortality? We would like to think it gone. Everywhere we can see people falling to their knees, bowing to the “demigods” for their wealth and luxury. Money is in vain, but we have no choice to live. It is so insane, but we all have to give. Back into the rain. This is no way to Live. We are all just hopelessly insane.
13.
Carousel 02:39
Sitting on momentum you and I, feeling gravity tow us, ethereal and silent. In a world of snow I’m not alone. How white the world seems as it rotates by. And your horse whispers to mine, sincerely, “You’re more than a toy, you’re a world all your own.” And my horse whispers to yours, “You’re special little subliminal, the world is nowhere near as silent.” And the music swirls hysterically as I can hear you laughing, and we both finish in a dead heat.
14.
The Riff 01:02
I live life day by day. I will live my own way. Exist as a child at play. Play a riff the only way. Hardcore is the life for me ,if not for you just let it be. Why can’t you see this life is meant for me?
15.
The nation that we live is the best in the world. It’s just kind of fucked because the leadership sucks. The idea of democracy is beautiful to me, But greed makes it hard for them to see. Our country is run by the wealthy and corrupt, Instead of being whole and run by all. We need to make a change and better do it soon. Or else, this nation is surely doomed. Making money’s the purpose in life. It needs a change for this I’ll fight. Main thing in life should be finding happiness. If that’s the way it was then the world could rest. Many are obsessed with money, I find. This is wrong in my mind. People think that money’s happiness. These thoughts are the keys to ignorance. The medium of exchange is so fully deranged. What once worked well now leaves us to regret. Maybe Satan’s the one to blame. Accept his greed, he’ll drive you insane.
16.
Crazy 01:42
You say I'm crazy well so do I. What do you mean by crazy? I mean I'm not afraid to die. What do you mean by crazy? I mean I laugh when I should cry. What do you mean by crazy? I mean I believe we will survive. You say I'm crazy. Why do you lie? What do you mean by crazy? Of course I am afraid to die. What do you mean by crazy? I mean I laugh when I cry. What do you mean by crazy? I mean I believe we will survive. I know what you mean by crazy when you say we won’t survive.
17.
Family 01:43
Family, blood or not, family, brothers and sisters. Friends, blood or not, friends, hand to lend. From childhood pranks to the high school whispers. The life we led is the life we’ll defend. I was down in the dumps. There you were. It was sure fucked. That’s for sure. Things you’ve done. Friend indeed. You’ve always been there for a friend in need. Your head stared down and off you went. Things being said really weren’t meant. Too much to lose, in truths we choose. It’s time to add all to those kill times we spent. Allies we are, in mortal war. Tradition continues, truth we fight for. Time lasts few, this is hardcore. Party habits take care of the dues. Read about each other in the police news. Friends are the greater part of life I find. If anything they’ll keep me from losing my mind.
18.
Worlds 01:13
Five billion worlds finitely revolve and gracelessly evolve upon a once placid and balanced ocean. Threatening clouds incessantly sweep the ocean with light, immaculate showers, submerging worlds, inspiring wake for those surrounding. Beneath the surface of the ocean lie the true beings of worlds past, safe from the foreboding heavens, as well as buoyant worlds Above the clouds exist a cryptic, unceasing warmth, which at times penetrates the underlying darkness to touch the ocean with inspiration, fertility, and hope.
19.
Of The World 01:44
I wake up to the sound of a crying child. I open my door, the light pours in. Cold wind bites my body, sends chills up my spine. The trees outside have all lost their leaves. They stand like skeletons waiting to be reborn. Cold wind bites my body, sends chills up my spine. Earth shakes under me. Stars fall from the sky. Rumors of wars are carried on the wind. Someone’s calling fire from the sky. Frozen bodies line the streets trying to find their place, searching for a warm spot in this cold masquerade. Every night the child inside me Cries itself to sleep.
20.
States 01:18
It takes time to learn to fly. We fight to feed ourselves and Spare so little for others. I’ve got toothpicks in my eyes, oh the sights I’ve seen. I’d love to close my weary eyes, But it so dark inside. To see or to be blind, I’m cut both ways. My heart is in the open, nailed to a tree. It’s dried by the wind, scorched by the heat, drenched by the rain, bitten by the cold, but never frozen to the core. It is scratched at by the animals. To open it up is to be crushed, to close it is to be withered, I’m ruined either way. My mind is a flooded river, nourished and drowned by the water. It’s constantly battered with floating debris. The states are in civil war. To close it is to die, to open it is to truly fly. Sometimes I feel like I’m going to lose my grip. The states are in civil war.
21.
Tension 01:40
Tension, it’s an open war, an outright conspiracy. Everyone’s aware of it and feels the tension. Races for what? Power, life, death? People are against each other, people are wholly integrated. “Black man against the white man, white man against the world.” Why so much misunderstanding? Why no communication? Visual capture. Just people.
22.
Dust to Dust 02:16
Soldiers march right past our front door, off to war. Earth goes ‘round, the sun and moon fly up then down. Storms will come, they will turn the blood back into dust. Thunder roars off in the distance. How it grows. Culture clash, misunderstanding, How it grows! Violent clash, misunderstanding, how it grows, everyone knows. Dawn breaks, the first light of morning reveals the dead. Bowing heads. Tears wet the ground.
23.
Wise War 02:12
War is the worst thing that man’s ever felt or seen, The worst thoughts, nightmares, crazy dreams. Senseless killing, men are dying, Always happening, never ceasing, Is their end to befriending! Why is war so popular? Is there an end to all this horror? Why is war so popular? Do we need war to survive? Why is war so popular? The makers should be the ones to die. Why is war so popular? It might come down to kill or be killed. I don’t want to die in any random field. I must show feelings in this song, I’m not the one that did the wrong. Someday I might die in war. Wise War?
24.
So far yet so close, standing in the doorway the eyes in their glow could see far away. Mind filled with doubts, heart filled with fear. Soul filled with life, ever drawing near. Calm before the storm, what will there be? Who will ever know in what a second will be? Birds sweep the earth, coming from the door way. With the taste of life, they carry much away. Children dance around. All the children play. What will all become when they’ve gone away? Calm before the storm, what will there be? Who will ever know in what a second will be?
25.
More To It 03:00
Pain, like a cold knife gently sliding tenderly in and out and in and out and in. Fear, like a night filled with emptiness with no way out, no hand to hold. Screams, echoing in each of us our souls and hearts plagued with conflict. No where to run to, no where to hide. Games, we’re the characters that play the roles in our lives. Time, drips away to emptiness just memories are all that remain. Blood is spilled! Over and over and over and over again and again and again. We’re slipping away, nothing is gained. We fight so hard to get ahead, all is vanity. What difference does ambition make when we pass on? There’s more to it, more to it, there’s more to it. This is the beginning. This is not the end. If life is so dark, then where’s the light? If life is so dark, there’s more to it, more to it. There’s more to it, then where’s the light? You cold be flying there, or falling right past.
26.
IUTY 02:23
Life- Without cause Nations - Without laws Friends - Don’t give a damn No one - Knows who I am Too many problems I must face I gotta get out of this place. Hatred - It burns inside Running - No place to hide Crying - Because you lied I’m Dying - From suicide Too many problems I must face I gotta get out of this place. We all feel it in our lives, the cutting pain of sharpened knives. Don’t stick it in, just stick it out. When you’re not sure what it’s about So go ahead, just wait and see you won’t get no sympathy so take your life if you want to or stick it out and make it through. IUTY It’s up to you. IUTY Only you.
27.
The first time you try it you have a blast. You’re not addicted. you smoke some grass. You cannot sleep, you’re brain weeps, but you still try it again. Again you try it, this time a line. You start sketching and get a quarter this time. You do it up, you start to sketch, then get an 8-ball, fine. One thing you don’t notice is you start to wither away. You do stupid things for you jibbs the next day. Your brain hurts. You’re not alert. You’re up for days at a time. You are blind, you can’t see because the crystal burns your mind. You’re not feeling good. You’re not feeling sweet, so you quit crystal, but it only lasts a week. Cause once again you have a friend with some jibbs to do. Tweaking alone is not so fun so he shares it with you. You think you’re quitting, no resisting, it’s controlling you.
28.
Eternity 01:18
When did we start? When do we end? Are we of God or only men? Do we pay for our sins? Will we ever live again? Are we here just by chance? Was it planned or accident? Pitching pennies in a well, how the hell can we tell? Eternity Will we ever know? Eternity Where do we go? Who am I? Who are you? What are we supposed to do? How long will my life go on? When will all this pain be gone? Can’t they see how I feel? Can I have part of the deal? Who can I call my closest friends who’ll stick with me until the end? Eternity Will we ever know? Eternity Where do we go?
29.
Ah, the rites of spirits echo on. Ah, ever falling towards the earth. Ah, shackled spirits finding worth. Ah, falling faster way the ground. Ah, crashing in without a sound. Bringing out the conscience, ripening the sadness, consecrating instincts through and through. Confining our expression, bounding our perceptions tampering judgement who can find the truth? Breaking up the will, cracking up the heart, tearing up the flesh can never break the soul. Traveling through time living in the mind, learning what we find, What is our goal? Who established the world? Why are they killing the Earth? What do they want to achieve? Why must they deceive? Overwhelming all, nothing will not fall, sweeping all aside, killing the Earth. Aiming for the weak, powering the strong, taking over minds, must they deceive? Shadows falling everywhere, falling never hesitates, never resting anywhere, resting never contemplates. In its mind of sorrow, aim for no tomorrow. Aiming for the edifice, turning all to ashes. Ah, the crimson flows into my eyes. What is this I see, a light of hope.
30.
Learning about democracy from dictators in my classes. Learning about hypocrisy from people wearing broken glasses. Bend my light. Bend my light. Bend my light. Bend my light. Hail to them each everyday with what I’m turning into them. Work of art we must display if not we get the punishment. Bend my might. Bend my might. Bend my might. Bend my might. Aren’t we all just human beings, just animals inferior. Our knowledge makes us feel supreme, it’s nature that we fear. Bend my sight. Bend my sight. Bend my sight. Bend my sight.
31.
One Way 01:26
I walk in the light of God, near the shadow of death. Ya you know what I mean, the media tells me everyday of a hundred ways that I could die. One way will be sufficient for me. It seems our nature to carry on traditions of malignancy from generation to generation. Since before, long before our time. Those who see and understand what’s going on writhe in pain. I am a lustful creature let me take you home. I just want to touch your body, let me drag you down. I don’t want to go, you can’t make me. I can see your loneliness instills fright. I just want to touch your body, stab you with my knife. I don’t want to go, you can’t make me. I walk in the light of God, near the shadow of death. Ya you know what I mean, the media tells me everyday of a hundred ways that I could die. One way will be sufficient for me.
32.
Eyes 02:42
Every time I look around I have to stop I can’t believe my eyes. Broken homes, broken minds, bleeding hearts, tear stained eyes. I cry it’s inconceivable the lies unbelievable. Every time I look for warmth I have to stop I can’t believe my eyes. Everyone is just as cold I see it in their tear stained eyes. The pain, inconceivable, their pride unbelievable. So many people can’t see clearly out of their eyes. What ever happened to faith in God? Every time I look at war, I have to stop I can’t believe my eyes. Human beings, feeling life, blown to pieces right before our eyes. The crime inconceivable, lost lives, unbelievable. Propaganda on the news I have to stop I can’t believe my eyes. Politicians speaking out to masses with their glistening eyes. “Our plan was a great success!” 200,000 DEAD. Why so little happiness? Why so much emptiness? Why so much senselessness? Why so many ugly lies? What ever happened to faith in God?
33.
A man can’t ask for much more, when given the opportunity to fulfill a dream, especially when he does so with his friends. He smiles as the black path pulls him along. He and his band deliver their song, leaving everything. Everywhere they belong. No one can beat his situation, coming across another true person, one whose mind and heart can relate to that of his own. One whose reality clearly shows. One who sees and truly knows, leaving warm hearts where ever he goes. He smiles as the black path pulls him along. He and his band deliver their song, leaving everything. Everywhere they belong. A man can’t ask for much more, when given the opportunity to fulfill a dream, especially when he does so with his friends.
34.
Prelude 01:19
Kyrie Eleison Christe Eleison
35.
Kyrie 01:14
The seasons change and so must we As people in a world community The twisted world goes round and round No individuality found. Imperialism has conquered me A new member of society The twisted world goes round and round No individuality found. Kyrie Eleison (Lord have mercy) Christe Eleison (Christ have mercy) Nothing is sacred anymore Aesthetic values out the door The twisted world goes round and round Individuals are thrown down. Plagued by hate and abhorrence We're ruined by our ignorance Ten moral laws have gone to hell They could have done society well
36.
Gloria 01:41
Gloria in excelsis Deo. Et in terra pax hominibus bonae voluntatis. Laudamus te. Benedicimus te. Adoramus te. Glorificamus te. Gratias agimus tibi propter magnam gloriam tuam. Domine Deus, Rex coelestis, Deus Pater omnipotens. Domine Fili unigenite, Jesu Christe. Domine Deus, Agnus Dei, Filius Patris. Qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis. Qui tollis peccata mundi, suscipe deprecationem nostram. Qui sedes ad dexteram Patris, miserere nobis. Quoniam tu solus Sanctus. Tu solus Dominus. To solus Altissimus, Jesu Christe. Cum Sancto Spiritu in gloria Dei Patris. Amen.
37.
Credo 02:10
Running around in circles trying to get ahead Looking for help from this weary world we are better off dead. Creating gods and rules to twist the minds of those smaller. Bowing to money and chemicals to make life easier Credo in unum Deum, Patrem omnipotentem, factorem coeli et terrae, visibilium omnium, et invisibilium. Et ex Patre natum ante omnia saecula. Deum de Deo, lumen de lumine, Deum verum de Deo vero. Genitum, not factum, consubstantialem Patri: per quem omnia facta sunt. Confiteor unum baptisma in remissionem peccatorum. Et exspecto resurrectionem mortuorum. Et vitam venturi saeculi. Amen.
38.
Sanctus 02:22
Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus, Dominus Deus Sabaoth. Pleni sunt coeli et terra gloria tua. Hosanna in excelsis. Benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini. Hosanna in excelsis.
39.
Agnus Dei 01:54
Flowers of life protrude from all the streets, Growing tall and ripe, fruits will be reaped. Harvest moon is blood-red for all to see Through the smoke of oil and gasoline. Eyes are closed on the majority Cycle flies, world’s fruits are being reaped. All stand bare in light for God to see. Tears are shed, blind cry and grind their teeth. Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi: miserere nobis. Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi: dona nobis pacem. Others fly because they did believe in Jesus Christ, The world’s controversy. World is gone the weak will grind their teeth. For the strong bliss for eternity.
40.
SUE 01:41
Someday I'll meet you again, my friend. I don't know where, I don't know when, my friend. Someday I'll meet you again. It's sad to say goodbye I must, I don't know why. Must I don't know why? I don't know why, why I must say goodbye. I won't be sad, I will not cry because someday Someday I'll see you again. I will thank God for letting our paths unite in this life Someday I'll see you again.
